Bus 179

isnt it wonderful? to sit on the bus with the guy you love.. you rest your head on his shoulder and gave a squeeze to the new teddy bear he just gave you (or the Doraemon plushie priced $39.90 at minitoons.. it's just as huggable). and you look out of the window and see the beautiful patch of grass that reminds you so much of the sound of music (yes, the young lady is too old for the greying old man with 7 kids.. but who cares?) and you relish every moment of it.

that is, until the bus flies over the hump.

and you jump with it.

yeah. i'm talking about the absurd number of humps in the school.

but that's not the worst.

somehow, the clutch seems so hard to grasp for these experienced bus drivers. you see, the bus will (probaility = 50%) roll backwards when they are upslope. (but of course the shuttlebus is MUCH worse, but they are not demanding a hike in prices, so i'm going to have to complain about SBS a little more.)

and so your pretty mood is spoilt.

and you thought fearing for your life's bad enough.

it's a wonder why the talents in SBS are not recruited to be F1 racers, or NASCAR, if they are friendly enough. because they are very, i repeat, VERY talented in tackling bends. you know they love the challenge especially if the bus is packed. what better sight to see than an undergrad losing his balance and fall smacked on the door? grab whatever poles you can find. it's better than a rollercoaster ride. and did i say that it's perfectly alright not to slow down when approaching humps? tell me then, what the hell are they meant for? decorations? or some place to dump excess cement and paint on?

so who thinks it's funny?

be very thankful that you are not wearing your new heels. i'll salute you if you can juggle your schoolbag, the folder you hold in your hand, and balance on your new heels. oh! and dont forget to reach for your ez-link card!

no i'm not trying to be sarcastic. i am sarcastic. i didnt pay so much money to train my arm power on the bus.

and need i remind you, i spend a lot on bus and train services. if they are doing little to improve, i dont see why they deserve to make more profits than they already are. and putting guards around is not known as improving service.

somehow it's the poor that do not own automobiles. tell me again, why are they trying to increase the fares? subsidies for selected people does not help. check up the country's statistics if you dont believe me. the blue collar workers, in this case i'm assuming the less incomed people are the ones suffering because they dont have enough money to buy a decent car and now the public transport's not going to be any cheaper. great, why dont i just walk to school? it's only 27 mrt stops. and so since the oil prices go up, let's all take the expensive public transport instead. petrol's so much more expensive. (really, i thought they were having a price war)

and no, i dont think these people on the upper levels are coming up with constructive ideas. that's probably because they dont take public transport. and do pardon me if i'm wrong. i've never seen the prime minister take bus 179.

for one thing, why dont we abolish the COE, and insane tax rates on cars, and let me drive? see if i care about fare hikes

price aside, these talents should be proud of their bend-tackling skills. do however, remember that they are not driving an evo.
